چکیده
Freely available satellite data at Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud platform enables vegetation phenology analysis across different scales very efficiently. We evaluated seasonal and annual of the old-growth Hyrcanian forests (HF) northern Iran covering an area ca. 1.9 million ha, also focused on 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. extracted bi-weekly MODIS-NDVI between 2017 2020 in GEE, which was used to identify range NDVI two temporal stages. Then, changes growth were analyzed by Sentinel 2-derived Temporal Normalized Phenology Index. modelled additionally considering elevation, surface temperature, monthly precipitation. Results indicated considerable difference onset along longitudinal gradient HF. Faster observed low- uplands western zone, whereas it lower both mid-elevations outskirts. Longitudinal a major driver growth, environmental factors differently but significantly contributed (p < 0.0001) west-east gradient. Our study developed GEE provides benchmark examine effects parameters HF, cover mountainous areas with partly no or limited accessibility.

Detecting Surface Waters Using Data Fusion of Optical and Radar Remote Sensing Sensor
Identification and monitoring of surface water using remote sensing have become very important in recent decades due to its importance in human needs and political decisions. Therefore, surface water has been studied using remote sensing systems and Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 sensors in this study. In this paper, two data fusion approaches and decision fusion improve the accuracy of surface wate...
متن کاملDrought Analysis of Alvand Boundary River Using Remote Sensing Data
Extended abstract 1- Introduction The study of the behavior of rivers in the arid and dry areas is one of the most important tasks in the country. Because the area has increased the effects of drought due to the sensitivity of the area and rainfall shortage, it causes changes in the flow and sediment regime, water resources, agriculture, and so on. Since plants react more precisely to t...

Investigation of periodic changes of the Oman Sea coastline using remote sensing data and spatial analysis
Extended abstract 1- Introduction Coastal environments are one of the most sensitive environmental systems under the influence of dominant hydrodynamic processes. Coastal changes and evolution are occurring very fast. Coastal areas are now gradually becoming known as severe natural and man-made disturbances, including sea levels rising, coastal erosion and sedimentation, and over-exploitat...
متن کاملPrioritizing of the Hyrcanian Proposed Sites for Inscription on the UNESCO´S World Heritage List by use of Decision Making Methods
Hyrcanian forests are one of the most valuable forests in the world, dating from about 25 to 50 million years old. Climate variation, unique plant and animal species accompany with habitat diversity have made these forests one of the most unique ecosystems on Earth and worthy of being listed on the UNESCOchr('39')s World Heritage List. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to use both De...
